What we do

Six jobs cover most of what a Prescott property needs.

The full list runs to thirty, gutters and snow included. Start here, then see everything.

01

Tree Removal

Dead, dying, leaning or simply in the wrong place. Big ponderosas come down in sections — roped, cut and lowered a piece at a time so nothing lands on your roof, your fence or your septic lid. You get a firm number before anything gets cut.

02

Tree Trimming & Pruning

Deadwood hanging over the roofline. Limbs crowding the power drop. Canopies thinned so an August gust passes through instead of taking the whole tree over. We don’t top trees — it kills them slowly and costs you twice.

Trimming & pruning →

03

Stump Grinding & Removal

Ground flush with the dirt, or eight inches under if you’re replanting or running a fence line through. A left stump is a trip hazard, a mower killer and an open invitation to beetles.

Stumps →

04

Emergency & Storm Damage

Pine across the driveway at six in the morning in monsoon season. Call and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a today job or a tomorrow job, and what it takes to get your car out.

Storm damage →

05

Fire Mitigation & Brush

Brush, ladder fuels and low limbs pulled back from the structure so a ground fire stays a ground fire. Prescott sits in the wildland-urban interface, and every dry June makes the point again.

Defensible space →

06

Seasonal & Property Care

Gutters packed solid with ponderosa needles. Snow off the driveway in January. Spring and fall cleanups, weed whacking, leaf blowing. The unglamorous work that keeps a property functioning.

How a job actually goes

No mystery, no surprise invoice.

Four steps, every time, whether it’s one limb or a whole lot cleared.

You call or text

Pete picks up, or calls back the same day. Describe the tree and where it sits, and we’ll set a time to come out and look at it.

Free estimate on site

We walk the property, read the lean and the drop zone, check what is underneath, and give you a written price. No charge, no pressure, no upsell.

The work gets done

Roped and rigged so every piece comes down controlled. Tight yards, close power lines and boulder-locked slopes are the normal case here, not the exception.

We clean up our mess

What we cut gets chipped or hauled out, and we rake up our own debris and sawdust before we leave. Brush that was already on your lot when we got there is a separate job — just ask and we’ll price it.

Who shows up

Pete Morgan, and the crew behind him.

Pete grew up in Prescott and has spent most of his life working the trees here. He served in the US Army, came home, and built the business the old way — one phone number, straight answers, and a reputation he has to look at in the grocery store.

Hire Morgan Tree Service and you get Pete’s crew — four to eight men depending on what the job needs, all of them working out of Prescott. Nothing gets sold to you here and handed off to a subcontractor from the valley who has never seen what a ponderosa root plate does in decomposed granite.

  • Owner operatedPete runs the company and is on the work. He does not sell a job and disappear.
  • Veteran owned and operatedUS Army. Military and senior discounts on every job.
  • Prescott his whole lifeHe knows which streets sit on shallow granite and which pines have already given up.
  • Straight answersIf a tree can be saved, we’ll tell you to save it instead of selling you a removal.

Seasonal work

Living under pines has a maintenance bill.

Ponderosas drop needles into your gutters all year and then the monsoon arrives and the water goes over the edge instead of through the downspout — usually into a foundation or a fascia board. In January the same property needs the driveway cleared.

We handle both, plus spring and fall cleanups, weed whacking and leaf blowing. Same crew, same phone number, no separate contractor to chase.

Where he works

Eleven towns, one truck, no travel fee inside the area.
